Made famous by its director, Jack Hanna, the zoo is home to a 100,000-gallon coral reef exhibit and one of the largest reptile collections in the United States. The facility is also one of four manatee preserves outside of Florida and boasts a pachyderm area.

It looks like the plains of Africa at this expansive wildlife preserve in Cumberland, about 80 mi southeast of Columbus. Camels, giraffes, and bison roam 10,000 square acres of land that has been reclaimed as an endangered species center. Buses take you within feet of the animals. The park is closed November-April.
