The Carousel Center is the biggest mall in central New York.  It has more than 150 stores, a movie theater, food court, and a renovated carousel.  There are also casual dining options for those who want to sit down and take a break from shopping.

Central New York Regional Farmers & Flea Market

It’s New York’s largest farmer’s market and has been around since the 1930s.  It’s open every Saturday 7 am till 2 pm, along with Thursdays from May until Thanksgiving.  The flea market is open on Sundays.  Even if the weather is questionable it’s still an option because there’s both indoor and outdoor shopping.

Tuesday is the day of the week the Farmer’s Market comes to downtown.  Freshly baked breads and freshly grown produce make it worth a stop from June through October, 7 am until 4 pm.

Shoppingtown Mall boasts more than 130 shops, a double-decker carousel, and a movie theater.  It’s essentially a less-crowded version of the Carousel Center. There’s also casual dining and faster options if you get hungry.

The Great Northern Mall is the biggest mall in Syracuse’s northern suburbs.  There are a couple of anchor stores, a theater, food, and standard mall retailers filling the space.
