Ballet Idaho is the city’s premiere dance company.  There’s traditional performances and those in the “Family Series” that are more relaxed.  Ballet Idaho also has an academy that trains in a variety of dance styles.

Since 2003, the Boise Baroque Orchestra has been performing baroque classical music in the Treasure Valley.  Many of the musicians in the Orchestra also perform in the Philharmonic and in Opera Idaho.

The Boise Little Theater is one of the country’s longest running community theater groups, it was founded in 1948.  Many of its productions are family oriented, and auditions are open to all who want to try.

The Boise Philharmonic is the oldest performing arts organization in Idaho.  It can trace its roots to 1885.  Now, it performs 14 concerts each season, both of works of classical favorites and modern masters.  It also has educational programs, including a Children’s Concerts series.

Not just limited to works by the Bard, the Shakespeare Festival has an outdoor amphitheater that seats 600.  Performances run through the summer months.
