Boise is the capital and most populous city of Idaho. Boise enjoys a national reputation for its well-educated workforce, low taxes, great business climate and impressive quality of life.
A number of recreational opportunities are available in Boise, including extensive hiking and biking in the foothills to the immediate north of downtown. Much of this trail network is part of Hull’s Gulch and can be accessed by 8th street. An extensive urban trail system called the Boise River Greenbelt that runs along the river. The Boise River itself is a common destination for fishing, swimming and rafting.
Boise is a great place to work, live and raise a family. Whether it’s the vibrant cultural and recreational opportunities, the friendly people or the mild climate, Boise and the surrounding communities afford a quality of life second to none. About Boise
Overview
Boise is the biggest city in the Treasure Valley in southwestern Oregon. The metropolitan area has a little more than a half of a million people, making it the largest metro area in the state. It’s also one of the most remote metropolitan areas in the country (the nearest international airport is in Salt Lake City a few hundred miles away), so the residents of the area have a tight knit, unique sense of community. The city of Boise has about 200,000 residents. It is often cited as having an exceptionally high standard of living in national publications.
Neighborhoods
Downtown Boise
Downtown is Boise’s cultural center and home to businesses and a few sky scrapers. 8th Street downtown has a large pedestrian zone which with its street side cafes and restaurants
The North End
The North End has tree lined streets and many of Boise’s older homes. A few parks are here, notably Camel’s Back Park and Hyde Park. The area around Hyde Park has restaurants and small businesses. Also, the North End has a large artistic population.

Boise Airport is served by 12 airlines with direct flights to many cities in the West and to major hubs in the Midwest and East Coast. It’s not an international airport, but does have flights to Salt Lake City, the nearest international airport.
