The Zoo has 113 acres with 1100 animals that represent some distinct 350 species. One of the most popular exhibits, Red Ape Rain Forest, is a state-of-the-art facility that is home to zoo’s unique orangutan population. There’s also a petting zoo.

Exposition Park has several cultural and recreational centers, as well as a 7½ acre rose garden. Among the attractions here are the Natural History Museum, the California African-American Museum, the LA Swimming Stadium, the LA Memorial Coliseum, and the California Science Center.

Griffith Park covers 4100 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains. There are hiking trails horse paths, pony rides, miniature railroad rides, and bike rentals. The park contains the LA Zoo, a Merry-go-Round, Equestrian Center, Travel Town Museum, Greek Theater, the Autry Museum of Western Heritage, and Griffith Observatory, which has been a popular destination for decades.
