Earlewood
Earlewood is a friendly and caring community that celebrates the diversity of its 2500 residents. Conveniently located in downtown Columbia, residents enjoy living in an older quiet neighborhood only minutes from the City Center, the University of South Carolina and the historic Congaree Vista.

The centerpiece of the neighborhood is Earlewood Park, an urban forest that covers sixty-six acres of rolling hills and valleys and mature groves of trees. Noted for its many varieties of wild flowers it is the largest and most natural park in Columbia. Earlewood Park has a community center, an amphitheater, a disc golf course, tennis courts and two baseball fields.

The homes in Earlewood have considerable historical and architectural significance. The first log cabin in central South Carolina was built in what is now Earlewood. It was constructed in the 1750’s of chinked logs resting on stone pillars with woodwork fitted together with wood pegs. The cabin, an almost perfectly preserved specimen of a frontier type log cabin, was moved from River Drive to Sesqui Centennial State Park and is now restored and opened to the public. Architectural styles of the past hundred and fifty years – farm houses, two-story Victorians, craftsman bungalows, brick Shandon-style, ranches and new homes – are found in the Earlewood neighborhood.

Eau Claire
The name means “clear springs.” This was appropriate for the bucolic scenes of Eau Claire at the time of its christening (1899). But now Eau Claire sits on the edge of the bustle of a thriving city that is moving with great force into the new century.

Eau Claire, located in the northernmost part of the city is made up of 32 neighborhoods. Eau Claire proper stretches from Sunset Drive on the south to I-20 on the North and is bound on the west by the Broad River and on the east by I-277.It offers classic homes in a suburb built at the “end of the trolley line,” cozy bungalows from the 1920’s and 1930’s, post war brick capes, and late century ranches nestled in its hills and valleys. Eau Claire is a vital, front porch community where people walk, play, and work together to guarantee the best possible quality of life. Eau Claire is growing great schools. New Leadership at its many schools is dedicated to academic excellence.  Parents are active participants; you can be a part of the miracle. Eau Claire is convenient beyond compare-10 minutes to downtown and the Vista, 5 to 15 minutes to all the major shopping malls and hospitals. Two interstate highways run parallel with this area.

Elmwood Park
Located in the heart of Columbia, Elmwood Park combines the charm and flavor of a bygone era with the convenience and excitement of downtown living.  Even after a century of progress, the area still retains the feeling of life from Columbia’s past. The streets are lined with century old trees, colorful dogwoods and crape myrtles. Neighbors enjoy strolling by beautifully restored homes with large front porches and vibrant gardens.  Elmwood Park is designated an historic district on the National Register of Historic Places and a Design Preservation Area by the City of Columbia.

Harbison
Located in northwest Columbia it is without a doubt one of the fastest growing residential parts of the area. Housing choices are plentiful and prices range from moderate to upper end. Harbison Boulevard features a spectacular regional mall, Columbiana Center, as well as numerous other shops and restaurants. Dutch Square Mall, one of the region’s first enclosed malls, is also located in St. Andrews.

For hikers and bikers, the trails in Harbison State Forest offer miles of scenic beauty in a totally natural environment.   Home communities offer a wide variety of styles and amenities. Harbison is a well established neighborhoods, perfect matches for families whose interests include tennis, basketball, racquetball, swimming and more.

Hollywood-Rose Hill
The community is bounded by Rosewood Drive, South Marion, Heyward and Harden Streets. We’re a diverse community of young families, longtime residents, single professionals and college students. Approximately 1700 residents enjoy this charming neighborhood lined with front porches and shade trees and topped by our beautiful park on the hill.

The identities of the two neighborhoods of Hollywood and Rose Hill became intertwined shortly after they were built. Today our neighborhood association serves residents located between Heyward Street and Rosewood Drive, with South Marion and South Harden serving as western and eastern boundaries respectively.

University Hill
The University Hill Neighborhood is unique in Columbia in its location in the shadows of the University of South Carolina. The boundaries of the University Hill Neighborhood community start at Bull Street, go east on Gervais Street to the Norfolk and Southern railroad tracks, south to Blossom Street, west to Pickens Street, north to Pendleton Street, west to Bull Street, and north to Gervais Street.

Located in the heart of the City of Columbia, Waverly was incorporated in the city in June 1913. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places since 1989, its 192 primarily residential buildings blend Victorian architecture and 1930’s bungalows with new construction. The neighborhood is proud to be a City of Columbia Design Preservation Area.
