Boise – Neighborhoods

Downtown Boise
Downtown is Boise’s cultural center and home to businesses and a few sky scrapers. 8th Street downtown has a large pedestrian zone which with its street side cafes and restaurants

The North End
The North End has tree lined streets and many of Boise’s older homes. A few parks are here, notably Camel’s Back Park and Hyde Park. The area around Hyde Park has restaurants and small businesses. Also, the North End has a large artistic population.

Southwest Boise
Southwest Boise is more rural than the rest of the city, and it has limits in terms of development, but shopping and cultural centers are still only a short drive away.

Northwest Boise
Northwest Boise has a similar feel to the North End, but home prices tend to be more accessible. It has Veteran’s Memorial Park and easy access to the Greenbelt.

Warm Springs
Warm Springs has many of the city’s largest and most expensive homes. The area gets its name from the natural hot springs that flow from Boise’s fault line and warm many of the homes in this area.

The Boise Bench
The Boise Bench is south of Downtown Boise and is raised in elevation approximately 60 feet. The bench is named such because of the sudden rise in elevation. Boise Towne Square Mall is here, and the airport is a little south.
