This is a huge mall that has more than 350 stores occupying two levels of shopping.  There’s parking for expectant mothers and more than 20 restaurants, from little mall kiosks to sit down fine dining.

Here’s a row of high-priced, high-fashion shops and restaurants.  It’s close to Valley Fair, but has a much different feel.  It’s like if Rodeo Drive moved to San Jose, and the shops are often unique boutiques.

The Stanford Shopping Center is an upscale mall with more than 140 stores and restaurants.  It’s an open air center.  There are also a few higher end grocers at the location.

Westgate Mall mainly has discount style retailers like Nordstrom Rack and Burlington Coat Factory.  It’s not nearly as crowded as some of the other malls in the area, but it doesn’t have quite the selection as others.

Cherry Orchard Shopping Center

Cherry Orchard has a lot of different dining options but not too much in terms of shopping.  It’s nice to walk around, sculptures dot the premises.

Oakridge has more than 200 stores and 20 restaurants.  It’s a big, recently revamped mall that has all of the traditional mall retailers as well as a variety of dining options.

Sunnyvale Farmers’ Market

The Sunnyvale Farmers’ Market has organic fruits and vegetables and a lot of other goodies.  It occurs every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. year-round. From July until September, “Music and Market” happens every Wednesday evening from 5 pm. to 8:30 p.m.
