Hong Kong Heritage Museum

The Heritage Museum focuses on Chinese history, art and culture.  It has six permanent exhibit areas and plenty of rotating attractions, and features plenty of interactive exhibits.  The museum was built by the Regional Council and opened in 2000.

Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence

This museum is converted from the 100-year-old Lei Yue Mun Fort. It features the history of coastal defense in Hong Kong from the Ming and Qing dynasties to the current day.

The Hong Kong Museum of Art is one of the city’s largest museums.  The museum houses some of the world’s finest examples of ancient Chinese, and two exhibition galleries showcase international works.

This museum showcases Hong Kong’s history.  The permanent exhibition showcases 6,000 years of Hong Kong’s history, from art to archeology and other artifacts. Thematic exhibitions are also held from time to time.

The Science Museum showcases over 500 interesting exhibits, most of which are hands-on and offer an insight into a wide range of science-related subjects. The exhibition covers many areas of science and technology, including robotics, transportation, virtual reality and more.

Like it’s name says, this museum is all about space.  The museum is particularly renowned for its Space Theatre, one of the largest planetariums in the world, which features both Omnimax screenings and Sky shows several times daily.
