Cairo Golf

Soma Bay is a resort that has two golf courses, one full championship course and another that’s a par three executive course.  The Championship course is 7000 yards long and a par 72.  It’s along the Red Sea, and has a driving range and pitching and putting greens.

Dreamland has two courses, an 18 hole championship course and a 9 hole short course.  The championship course is par 72 and covers 7,205 yards from the long tees.  Dreamland City is a giant entertainment development, with theaters, a theme park, shopping, and more to do in addition to golf.

The Gezira Club

The Gezira Club is the oldest in Egypt, having been here for more than a century.  It was founded by British nationals, and has 18 holes.  The course is par 70 and is 5,860 yards long.  The club has numerous other facilities, like tennis, croquet, basketball, and exercise equipment.

Katameya is a true golf resort, with 27 holes of championship golf, practice facilities, and a school.  The club has restaurants, bars, a pool, spa, and fitness center.  There’s also a tennis center on the grounds.

Mirage City is owned by the Marriott hotel, and is an 18 hole par 72 that stretches for 6,944 yards.  The course has complete golf facilities, including a swing analyzer, and because it’s part of the hotel, there’s plenty of extras on hand, including an equestrian club.

The Pyramids Club is a giant golf facility.  Ultimately, 99 holes are planned to be constructed.  The championship course is par 72 and covers 7004 yards.  There are 9 lighted holes playable at night, along with a lighted driving range.  The complex has plenty of facilities, including three restaurants and a swimming pool.

El Gona is a resort town, and the course here blends in perfectly with the laid back atmosphere.  The 18 hole course is 6,902 yards long, and has a 74 rating.  Like many courses in Cairo, it also has spectacular non-golf facilities, including a spa, bar, and exercise facilities.
