Victoria Peak provides magnificent harbor and city views. The Peak also has plenty of entertainment, dining and shopping options.  The best way to get to the top is via the Peak Tram.  The tram has been in operation since 1888.  The Peak Tram runs every day, including Sundays and public holidays, between 7:00 amand 12:00 midnight. The tram departs every 15 minutes.

Peak Tower & Peak Galleria are indoor entertainment centers with a lot of fine and casual dining options.  It’s right next to Madame Toussaud’s wax museum and other touristy attractions.  There’s high end fashion shopping available, too.

Macau
Macau, the former Portuguese colony and present gambling haven is just an hour away by TurboJet ferry. Ticket prices start at HK$141 for the one-hour ride toMacau. The ferry building is near the Sheung Wan MTR station on Hong Island. Less frequent ferries are also available from New World First Ferry in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

Aberdeen Harbour
Aberdeen Harbour is home to hundreds of people living on fishing junks. Their traditional lifestyle is dramatically different than the high rises that surround them. It’s a good idea to take a sampan boat ride to get a closer look, or you can dine at one of the fine floating restaurants in the harbour.

Ocean Park

Aberdeen is also the site of Ocean Park, one of Southeast Asia’s largest oceanarium and theme parks.  The 200 acre park on the southern side of Hong KongIsland features rides, exhibits and facilities around a hillside. A cable car system links the lowland and headland sections, offering spectacular views en route.

Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland opened on September 12, 2005. It is on Lantau Island.  Castmembers speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple
Wong Tai Sin is an excellent example of a traditional Chinese temple. Worshippers gather in the front courtyard. Other temples on the grounds are dedicated to Buddha and Confucius.  Most people who visit the temple to get their fortune read.

Take the MTR to Wong Tai Sin Station and leave via Exit B2 or B3. The Temple is in Wong Tai Sin Road adjoining the Upper Wong Tai Sin Estate.
