Would be great to prepare for game day. Cook in crockpot so all the work in done ahead of time.

Ingredients:

2 T olive oil
1 1/2# ground turkey
2 medium onions, chopped
3 bell peppers, chopped (use various colors if available)
1/3 c chili powder
1 T salt
1 t cayenne pepper (use your discretion)
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
4 1/2 c precooked turkey, cubed or shredded
1 28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
1 6 oz. can tomato paste
1/4 c cilantro leaves
1 15 oz can white beans (drained)
1 15 oz can chili hot beans (undrained)
6 c chicken broth

Shredded cheese
Shredded icebeg lettuce




Directions:
  1. In large saucepan heat oil. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking up turkey with spoon. Remove add onions and peppers, saute until soft. Stir in spices. Add the rest of soup ingredients, except beans. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Transfer to 6 quart crock pot. Cover, cook 3 hours, then add beans. Cook for an additional 3 hours.

  3. Serve chili with cheese and lettuce. This helps to cut the heat and the lettuce adds a nice crunch and color.
